Slippery Elm was founded by Scott & Stephanie Goodrich, a husband and wife team looking to spend more time together in a creative capacity and turn their passion for home fragrance and self-care into a successful business enterprise. Out of its humble origins from a small candle and soapmaking kit in their kitchen on a rainy date night one fall, they have since built a comprehensive family business focused on the manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of home fragrance, personal care, and home care products across a portfolio of market-facing brands, and on a contract manufacturing basis for others, with customers across the country and around the world.

Slippery Elm is a member of the Wyx Brands family of quality consumer products, made in Ohio using certified clean fragrance, pure soy wax from American soybean farms, and free of sulfates, phosphates, parabens, paraffin, and phthalates. Our products are vegan, gluten-free, and cruelty free and we donate a portion of our profits to the Alliance for the Great Lakes in support of their mission to protect the world's largest freshwater ecosystem through action and policy advocacy.
